BaskervilleHistoricsTempPosterWelcome to Baskerville, Tasmania's answer to Bathurst! Perhaps a big call but with multiple changes of elevation, The Esses, blind and off camber corners all packed into a compact 2.01km, where else can you find this much fun.

The circuit has received praise from many of Australia's great drivers including Alan Jones, the 1980 World Formula One Champion, who said it was the best short circuit he had ever driven on.

Unlike some of the mainland circuits a good result at Baskerville doesn't always relate to horsepower. Baskerville has been the stage for many classic battles with true David and Goliath style outcomes. In a field of varied cars a winner is often hard to pick until the last corner as the more nimble take the challenge to the more powerful.

The good times and atmosphere don't stop on the track. Many a mainland competitor and spectator has left with the amazement of the comradely friendly and a picnic style atmosphere not found at the bigger circuits. Baskerville has a certain magic not found elsewhere.

Baskerville is as historic as they come, in 2008 the track celebrated it's 50th birthday. There have been other tracks which have been as challenging, but few remain in use. Unfortunately Amaroo Park and Oran Park have already been lost. Whilst Baskerville isn't in immediate danger of being closed, don't miss your chance to say that you have raced at this classic circuit.

Baskerville Historics offers many opportunities to tame the track in a well organised multiple race format event over three days. There are no excuses not to join the locals in a great weekend of racing.

Racing on Saturday starts at 12:30, and 9am on Sunday.
Spectator Admission is $20, Under 14 free.
Includes 1 free program and entry admission to the pits.
